Last Weekend Of Summer

We enjoyed the last weekend of summer before school starts and fall is right around the corner. Friday after we got off of work we packed our bags and headed to Evanston. We stopped by Mtn Green and visited Zach's
parents for a little bit and then headed up. We were tired from work so we went to bed a little early so we could wake up bright and early to go scouting for deer in the morning. We got up bright and early
at 5 AM to head out. I love my time with my man and I soak it up everyday. When we got back to
the house we had homemade biscuits and gravy (my dad's favorite) with my parents. Sara came up with the kids and we
got to all hang out until later that evening. The kids played a mean game of football with Uncle Zach while the rest of us sat outside and visited. Colt's dog honey just had puppies so there was plenty of
time playing with the dogs too! Later that night I helped my Mom make dinner and then Grandma and Grandpa came up for a
game of Domino's. Sunday we had church early in the morning and then came home and had dinner
with the family. That afternoon my parents headed to go to Flaming Gorge and then we gathered the crew and headed out on a ranger ride behind the house. It was a beautiful weekend and we soaked up the sun and the time with our family! This is what life is all about!

Happy One Year Anniversary!! 8/14/15

Wow where has the time gone?! This year has flown by, and has also been the best year of my life. This sweet husband of mine has
The Olympic Park
helped me in more ways than I can ever express in words. My love continues to grow every single day for him! We decided to do a little "staycation" this year since I didn't quite jump on the ball to get something else planned. I am so glad we did
Cold Stone
what we did because we had a blast. Thursday night after we got off work we went and rented the movie "Insurgent" at the red box. We had dinner and snuggled and watched the movie. We took Friday off of work so we slept in and had breakfast in bed. After we got packed and ready for the day we headed to Park City. First off we went to the Outlet Mall for some shopping. I got a new shirt and pair of earrings and we found Zach some new socks (exciting I know). After the Mall we
The Chateaux Deer Valley
headed to the Olympic Park (this was definitely one of our highlights). We sat on the hill and watched the skiers go flying down the jumps into the air doing crazy tricks and landing in the pool. It was really warm and there happened to be a Cold Stone that we drove by so

we may or may not have had ice cream for lunch, oops! We planned on doing the Alpine Slide but decided against it because it was too dang hot haha....so instead we stopped by The Chocolate Factory to get a caramel apple to take home (these are my favorite). We drove around Main Street
Pool side
and some of the old parts of Park City to look at all of the cool little homes! It is my dream to buy an old home and renovate it (I have been watching too much "Love it or List it" while I do cardio at the gym...it passes the time fast) We checked into our beautiful Hotel "The Chateuax" in Deer Valley, and then headed to one of our favorite restaurants in
Cabella's
PC The Baja Cantina. After dinner we headed back to the hotel, hopped in our swimming suits and headed to the pool. The pool was in a beautiful setting tucked right into the mountains and it was a gorgeous night.

Saturday we slept in and then headed to the breakfast at the hotel. We sat outside to eat and enjoyed the sunshine. It was so fun to think back on all
of our favorite memories we have made this last year. After breakfast we headed to Cabella's. Today we did a little bit of "His and Hers." Zach had a couple gift cards to use in which he bought ammo (exciting). We headed into SLC afterwards to Temple Square to
Little America
go to the Joseph Smith Building. We walked around there and then went to see the "Meet the Mormons" movie. The movie was really good and I probably cried a little too much. My Mom gave us a gift card to the "Little America" Hotel for Christmas that comes with your room and either dinner or
Feelin' like a VIP
breakfast. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! We got checked in and then had an early dinner at the restaurant there at the hotel. After dinner we headed to our couple's massage I had booked us that evening. It was SO nice and SO relaxing. When we got back to our hotel room their was a little gift bag with snacks, they had come in and turned down our

bed, layed out our robes, turned on soft music, filled up our ice container, and had left us two little chocolates on our bed.....We felt like VIP's! We turned on a movie and relaxed the rest of the evening together, talk about spoiled! We slept in the next morning and then went to their breakfast buffet which is so nice. I am pretty sure that meal was the highlight of the trip for Zach:) We soaked up every little minute and loved our complete alone time together. It was a great start to another year of loving on each other! I can't wait to see what this year brings us! (hopefully a baby) ;)
I made him wear the robe, he secretly loved it!

Summit County Fair 2015

Another fun summer weekend in the books! Friday night we went to "The Oaks" with Summer, Dave, the kids, and Bob and Susan. It is a fun restaurant up the canyon towards Huntsville set right up against the mountains, we were able to get a table outside by the river. It became a complete downpour but luckily the tables had coverings overhead so we didn't get soaked. After dinner we went to Summer and Dave's to play cards. I got completely killed in "Scum."
Saturday we headed to Coalville for the Summit County Fair. Makell was showing her pig "Bolt" at the auction. We got there early in the afternoon and watched all of the animals get auctioned off. Makell was so excited and after she showed her pig she came out and said, "Did you see me smile? That was awesome!" We sure love that girl. My Mom ended up buying Bolt and Makell plans on using some of the money to get a dirt bike. After the auction we got a navajo taco to share for dinner, played with the kiddos and watched them ride all of the rides, and then headed to the Rodeo. All in all it was a really fun weekend and we are so lucky to have our family close to do all of these fun things with!

Summer Lovin'

We had another fun summer weekend. I was on call this weekend so we couldn't go too far. Friday after work we went to Cherry Hill with Summer, Dave, and the kiddos. It was fun to go down the slides with Ty and float around the lazy river. at 8:30 pm the pools close and they have local bands play. We got out our blankets and chairs and listened to the band. The kids LOVED it! They were dancing all over the place! It was a beautiful night with a full moon.

On Saturday I worked in the morning and then I was able to go to my best friends baby shower. I am so excited for Perri! She is absolutely glowing and this baby boy is going to be one happy, lucky, spoiled, adorable little man! I cannot wait to meet him soon! I feel so blessed to have true friends like this girl in my life!
Saturday night the hubs and I went out to a dollar movie. We saw Pitch Perfect 2....which wasn't that great, but the $1.25 popcorn made up for it. After the movie we went to one of our favorite little pizza joints called Pizzeria. It was a simple fun date night together that we got to just enjoy each other.
On Sunday Zach was sweet enough to drive me to my patient early that morning. After we got back we got our lesson ready for Church to teach our little primary kiddos. It felt so good to go to church together and to just have a day a part from the hustle and bustle. Later Sunday night we went on a walk. It had clouded over so it wasn't too hot which was nice! We stopped by a park that isn't too far from our house and hopped on the swings. At first we just sat there and then I told him to try and swing as high as he could....seriously you can tell we are getting old when I couldn't stop laughing because it was tickling my stomach so much...This night is a memory I always want to remember just because of the simplicity of it! We were both there swinging together, so happy and carefree, and laughing our butts off! It's moments like this you get to stop and think how grateful you are for this life!
